Terms and conditions
Last updated: PLACEHOLDER. Review annually.
Who you’re contracting with
PLACEHOLDER — Skillskool is a trading name of Vocation Ltd, registered in Scotland (SC845472), registered office [ADDRESS]. This is the party on the contract; it must match the entity named in your centre approval application.
Your account
You need an account to access the courses. Keep your password to yourself. The account is for one person — sharing logins means we may close the account without a refund, because assessment evidence has to be attributable to a named individual.
What we provide
Access to video lessons, assessment of the work you submit, and feedback. Where you complete a qualification successfully, we enter you with the awarding body, which issues the certificate. We don’t issue certificates ourselves.
We can’t guarantee you will pass. We can guarantee you will be told clearly why you haven’t and what to do about it.
Payment and cancellation
Subscriptions run monthly or annually and renew automatically until you cancel. Cancel from your account page and access continues to the end of the period you’ve paid for.
You have fourteen days from signing up to change your mind and get a full refund, unless you have asked us to start straight away and you’ve used the service — in which case we may deduct a proportionate amount for what you’ve used.
PLACEHOLDER — confirm this clause against the Consumer Contracts Regulations with your solicitor. The interaction between digital content, the fourteen-day right and express consent to begin immediately is the detail to get right.
Price changes
If we change the price, we’ll tell you at least thirty days before it affects you, and you can cancel before it takes effect.
Assessment, appeals and malpractice
Work you submit must be your own. Passing off someone else’s work, or work generated for you, as your own is malpractice; we may void the assessment and report it to the awarding body.
If you disagree with an assessment decision you can appeal. Our appeals procedure is available on request and the appeal is considered by someone not involved in the original decision.
Your content
Work you submit stays yours. You give us permission to store it, assess it, and show it to the awarding body and external verifiers, which is unavoidable if you want the qualification.
Our content
The videos and course materials belong to us. Watch them as much as you like; don’t download, copy, or redistribute them.
Availability
We’ll keep the site running as reliably as we reasonably can, but we don’t promise uninterrupted access. If there’s a long outage that stops you studying, tell us and we’ll extend your access accordingly.
Liability
PLACEHOLDER — solicitor to draft. Do not copy a limitation of liability clause from another website; an unfair one is unenforceable against a consumer and makes the rest of your terms look careless.
Governing law
These terms are governed by Scots law and the Scottish courts have jurisdiction.
Complaints
Email [email protected]. We’ll acknowledge within five working days and tell you what happens next.
Still have a question?
Get in touch before you sign up — we’re happy to explain how enrolment and assessment work.
